Broderick Gunning
CEO  - Director

​Mr. Gunning’s leadership has forged strategic partnerships across the public and private sectors, emphasizing trust, innovation, and value creation. He has held key roles in publicly traded companies, driving growth in energy, blockchain, and emerging technologies. His expertise spans capital markets, infrastructure development, and corporate strategy, positioning him as a leading force in finance and technology. He developed ASIC, FPGA, and GPU compute hardware for data centres since 2018, and has been merging digital assets with energy and finance. He has worked closely with Indigenous partners, pioneering clean energy storage, microgrids, and economic development projects. His hands-on experience in cryptocurrency, AI, and energy solutions continues to shape sustainable infrastructure, investment strategies, and financial innovation across global markets.

Soheil Sharifi 
Head of Corporate Development

Mr. Sharifi is a seasoned corporate executive and capital markets professional with over 15 years of experience and more than C$2.5 billion in completed transactions across 35+ engagements. A Finance graduate from the University of Alberta, his career spans investment banking, corporate development, fintech innovation, and global equity research.

During his time in Investment & Merchant Banking as Vice President at a large, privately owned IIROC dealer, Mr. Sharifi executed on public and private market transactions across sustainability, clean technology, mobility, energy, and the energy transition. He has experience managing the full deal lifecycle, from origination and structuring through execution—while maintaining deep relationships with institutional investors and corporate clients. His 2021–2022 track record alone includes approximately C$968 million in financings and over C$1.6 billion in advisory mandates. Transaction types ranged from public offerings and private placements to M&A and strategic acquisitions, with deal sizes spanning roughly $7 million to more than $743.

John Newman
Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Newman brings more than 40 years of experience in the global energy sector, including over three decades serving as Chief Financial Officer and Director for both public and private companies across Canada and international markets. His career has centered on strategic financial leadership, governance, risk management, and long-term planning within complex, capital-intensive industries. John has held senior roles with multiple exploration and energy development companies, including co-founder and CFO of Arrow Exploration Corp. (2018–2020), CFO of YYC Energy Ltd. (2015–2017), and CFO of Powder Mountain Energy (2014–2015). His background includes leading corporate restructurings, supporting cross-border financings, and implementing governance frameworks for growth-stage and publicly listed organizations. John holds a Bachelor of Business from the Western Australian Institute of Technology.

Frederick Stearman
CTO

Founder & Chief Technology Officer (CTO) across multiple energy, data center, and technology companies, leading the development and deployment of innovative solutions in renewable energy, AI-driven infrastructure, and blockchain integration. Spearheaded advancements in energy storage, high-performance computing, and digital asset management, ensuring seamless scalability and efficiency in modern data centers. Developed and implemented next-generation technologies, including AI-optimized energy solutions and secure, decentralized systems for financial and industrial applications. Led cross-functional teams in research, design, and execution, fostering strategic partnerships with industry leaders, utilities, and emerging tech firms. Played a pivotal role in scaling operations, securing investments, and positioning companies at the forefront of technological transformation in energy, AI, and digital finance.

Devon Sandford 
PresidentDirector

Mr. Sandford is a Journeyman Red Seal certified electrician, with expertise in design and construction of electrical power and control systems and utility scale solar facilities, across utility, mining and oil and gas industries. Mr. Sandford has demonstrated a successful track record of creating innovative energy solutions throughout his career, having built and sold electrical OEMs, created public corporations and developed infrastructure projects. With his vast experience, he is now focused on the opportunities in the hydrogen space to provide flexible and accessible energy.  Mr. Sandford has consistently outperformed major companies in advanced industries through building intimate company cultures, where employees, clients and vendors feel personally valued and develop a deep loyalty, commitment and pride in the firm’s vision and objectives. Mr. Sandford is also a member of the Métis Nation of Alberta.

Eugene Hodgson  Director 

Mr. Hodgson brings more than three decades of senior leadership across government, energy infrastructure, project finance, and public markets. He has held senior roles in both the public and private sectors, including positions with the Governments of British Columbia and the Northwest Territories, as well as International Jetfoil Ltd., First Fund Capital, Intrawest, Sea Breeze Power Corp., Timmins Gold Corp. (TSX & NYSE), and Corpfinance International Limited.From 2005 to 2017, Mr. Hodgson served as Vice President, Western Region at Corpfinance InternationalLimited, a Toronto-based merchant bank specializing in green power, P3 projects, and infrastructure debt and equity financings. 

Mandy Adamowski

Director

Ms. Adamowski is a seasoned CPA with more than 14 years of progressive leadership experience in the Midstream Oil and Gas sector, where she has overseen national commercial operations across storage, processing, marketing, and gathering of crude oil and refined products. Throughout her career, she has built a reputation for operational excellence, strategic decision-making, and strong governance within complex, high-volume energy environments. Mandy has led multidisciplinary commercial teams, managed key customer and infrastructure portfolios, and played a central role in optimizing midstream logistics and revenue performance. Her expertise spans leadership and organizational management, commercial operations, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. 

Bold Batsukh
Director

Mr. Batsukh holds undergraduate degrees from the National University of Mongolia and Langara College. He began his career as a senior FX and precious-metals trader at a major Mongolian commercial bank before joining Peterson Investment Inc. in Vancouver as an investment analyst. He later founded and became CEO of LS Finance, a Mongolian merchant bank and subsidiary of Peterson Investment Inc. Bold has worked closely with the Energy Investment Professional Committee and Energy Vault (NYSE: NRGV) to design the SkyTower Zero Carbon Industrial Park—an initiative targeting optical hydrogen storage, ammonia equipment manufacturing, 2GW of high-efficiency PV and wind capacity, and advanced energy-storage technologies in the Gobi Desert. For more than a decade, he has been active in the silica mining industry, securing mining permits and building relationships with leading photovoltaic and high-tech manufacturers.
